RADFORD, Va. – The Radford volleyball program took care of business Saturday afternoon, sweeping Presbyterian to win its fourth straight Big South match.

The breakdown
The first set was a back-and-forth affair between the two squads, but a pair of early runs proved the difference for Radford to take a 1-0 lead. Radford hit just .179 in the set but held Presbyterian to a .154 clip as Cunnagin, Shepherd and Miller combined for 10 kills.
Radford jumped ahead 4-2 early as Cunnagin and Miller accounted for all four points with kills. Radford used another 4-1 run to go ahead 12-7, fueled by some Blue Hose miscues for that decisive edge. Presbyterian tightened the set back up by the media break, but Bochenek and Shepherd responded with kills to keep the lead. In the final stretch, Radford played clean while Presbyterian misfired, allowing the Highlanders to take the set 25-22.
In set two it was Potter who led the charge, totaling seven kills on 16 attack attempts for a .312 attacking clip. As a whole, Radford rebounded well offensively, committing just five errors on 39 attempts. The Blue Hose hit well at .312 but were unable to stop the Highlanders' consistent attack.
Radford began the second set with another big run that gave the team a 5-1 lead. Miller, Potter and Bochenek provided the kills in the run. Before the media break, Radford ripped off another 8-1 run to push the lead to 15-6. Roberts came alive for a pair of kills in that run as Radford fully took over. Presbyterian rallied to make the set look tighter by the final, but Radford closed things out 25-21 as Potter connected for two of the last three kills of the set.
To cap the evening, Radford's offense came from all angles but was led by Bochenek, who had five kills. Seven other Highlanders recorded kills, with six of those seven recording more than one. It was Radford's best hitting set at .342 as Alyssa Cadavid tallied a match-high 11 assists on her 19 sets.
While trading points early, Bochenek made sure Radford gained an edge at 9-6 while the Highlanders tried to avoid any theatrics. The Highlanders did just that as they pulled away out of the media break behind four kills from Cunnagin and Shepherd to lead 19-16. As the match came down to its final points, it was Bochenek finishing strong with a pair of kills and an ace from Potter. Radford won set three 25-19, its best margin of the day, and took the match 3-0 to finish the weekend 6-0 against Big South foes.
