CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Big South Conference announced Monday afternoon that Mia Jannazzo has been named the Libero of the Week after her strong showing this past week over four matches.
All week she bolstered Radford's defense, averaging 5.33 digs per set, a team high including 20-plus digs in all three games at the Kansas City Klassic. Over that span, her six aces were also a team best. In the weekend finale, she totaled 28 digs, which was a new single-match high. Over 10 matches this season, she has totaled 20-plus digs in six of those matches.
The weekly award is the first for the Highlanders this season and the first in Jannazzo's young career. She is also the first Highlander to earn Libero of the Week since Miranda Howard did so on September 9th, 2024.
The Highlanders are right back in action tomorrow afternoon, making the trip to Durham, N.C., to face North Carolina Central at 6 p.m. on the MEAC Network.
