Bristol, Tenn. – The King University golf teams finished the final day of their home King Invitational this afternoon with an impressive final day from the men's golf team, with Deagan Erfmann coming up big with five under to win the whole tournament and lead the men's A team to the win. Tibo Van De Neste had a strong first day and then came back the second day and shot even to hold his second-place spot.
Men's golf
The Tornado A golf team came into the day four strokes behind Shorter in second place. King had a better day than in the first, finishing five under as a team. They were able to finish the two days with nine under par as a group.
The men were led by Erfmann, who had a very consistent round, which led him to win the overall tournament. He was able to have six birdies through the final round with only one bogey, shooting a 65, which was five under for the day. He totaled eight under for the two days and moved past five other golfers.

Carter Myers and Vetle Saether both had strong final days, putting them in the top five overall as well. Saether finished with four under par over the two days, tied for third place, shooting one under today. Myers was able to shoot two under par through the final round to have a total of three under, which pushed him above three athletes, allowing him to earn fifth overall.
Neste was on the King B team but had a strong first round yesterday, which had him tied for first place. He was able to have four birdies through the first nine and no bogeys. The back nine saw some struggles, but he was able to finish even on the day, which allowed him to finish second overall. The B team finished tied for fifth with a total team score of 15 over.

Women's golf
The Tornado women were led by freshman Celia Mendez, who improved from yesterday's round with a 77 today, having one birdie and shooting six over. She moved up 11 places to finish the tournament tied for 14th place.
MaKenna Debord and Carolina Calzada were in the Kings' second and third spots. Debord kept it consistent, shooting the same score as she did yesterday with an 85 to finish in 37th place. Calzada had herself one birdie on the day and was able to shoot better than yesterday with an 86 and moved up five spots.
