BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University's women's wrestling team is preparing for the 2026-27 season, aiming to win the conference title for the third straight year. The Conference Carolinas and Southern Athletic Conference merged during the 2024-25 season, and King has won every year since, making it the heavy favorite to do it again.
This season, the Tornado are focused on taking down the country with multiple top-10 matchups throughout the season. The biggest is on the road to Iowa City, where King will take on Iowa's Hawkeyes on Nov. 22. The Tornado will have one big home matchup on Dec. 6, when they will compete against Presbyterian and Mount St. Joseph.
King will start with the conference opponents on Nov. 19 at Newberry. The first home conference match will be on Jan. 26 against Mount Olive and Bluefield State at 4 p.m.
