We can remove all of these throughout the entire South. However, this act will not change history. The ability to change or rewrite history does not exist.

Perhaps the ones wanting it removed or confederate taken off of it needs a history lesson on on the true meaning of the confederacy because people are blowing this way out of proportion on what they think they know and what the truth is

How about putting a statue of Wilson lee up in its place. Stop commemorating African Americans with a street in a neighborhood nobody goes through we like art too!

If you are bound and determined to move it you would more than welcome to move it to private property in my front yard we have a cannon and a smaller one in place now not to mention we have a 2400 sq ft building with a Mural painted on it depicting a civil war. Laura Bost

My suggestion is to move the soldier’s statue to the historic Forth Creek Presbyterian Cemetery where most confederate soldiers in this area are buried. Keep the monument in place and remove the Confederate plaque then place a Cherokee statue on top to honor our first people whose land was stolen by our ancestors.

Put plaques on it or dedicate it to all soldiers in the US and take the Confederate inscription off.
