Movies in a Minute: 'The Croods: A New Age' & 'Buddy Games'

Movie critic Bruce Miller says “The Croods: A New Age" is a visual CGI feast that makes the world pop. If you get to see it on a theater screen, you’ll realize how much time has been spent on its lush look, not its spartan script. "Buddy Games," Miller says is cruder than “The Croods: A New Age.” Actor/director Josh Duhamel does a nice job framing his shots but, in the end, he’s just the leader of the pack, not another actor proving he has skills beyond the obvious. Because it doesn’t provide many truths – or laughs – “Buddy Games” is one of those films you should be thankful you didn’t see. It’s crude, rude and totally under-brewed.

Because it’s far too cruel, “Buddy Games” deserves to be ignored, much like its participants.
