NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS September 28, 2020 7:15 p.m. Notice is hereby given that the Town of Hildebran will hold multiple public hearings at 7:15 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as persons may be heard) on September 28, 2020 in the Council's Chamber, Albert Parkhurst Municipal Complex, 202 South Center St., Hildebran, NC. The meeting will be live streamed via the "Town of Hildebran" YouTube channel. Audio and video will be available outside the Council's Chamber. The hearing will be for consideration of zoning text amendments (ZTA 2020-2 and ZTA 2020-3). Public Hearing #1 ZTA 2020-2 addresses adding specific language regulating the use of "Chain Link Fences" in the Central Business (CBD) and Highway Business (HB) Districts. Public Hearing #2 ZTA 2020-3 addresses "Building Design" language regulating in the Central Business (CBD) and Highway Business (HB) Districts. This Text Amendment expands on the current language for "Building Design" and more specifically the use of vinyl, unpainted cinder-block walls, or metal paneling used on exterior walls facing public streets in the Central Business (CBD) and Highway Business (HB) Districts. The meeting will be closed to the public, with the exception to allow for public comment. Anyone that wishes to speak at the meeting must wait outside the Council's Chamber until called upon and must exit the Council's Chamber after speaking. Citizens that want to provide written comments must submit their information to the Clerk by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting and the comments will be read during the public hearing. Public Comments can be submitted by: 1. Dropped off at Town Hall at 109 S. Center St, Hildebran via the drive thru 2. Faxed to 828-397-7180 3. Emailed to the Clerk at Face Coverings are required by all members of the public entering the Municipal Building.
